Time for Teachers Gifts
Schools are breaking up for the summer holidays, and once again children will expect their parents to buy a gift for their teachers. I’ve always had mixed feelings about this tradition. Yes, some teachers absolutely deserve an end of year appreciation gift, but should this be a blanket approach applied to all teachers ?
When my kids were in primary school I admit that I always felt slightly obliged to go along with the trend of giving teacher gifts. After all, if I didn’t then my children would be the odd one out amongst their classmates.
My sister, being a primary school teacher, would inevitably come home at school year end with far too many bottles of bath products and boxes of chocolate (although her siblings did help devour the latter!). A bit more imaginative gifts would have been nice.
So if you are looking for teacher appreciation gifts then we have some great suggestions for affordable teacher’s gifts.
I love our Message Candle (£10.00) with it’s blackboard label around the tin and piece of chalk included, so your child can write their own personal message to their teacher on the candle tin. This vanilla scented natural soy wax candle has a burn time of 23 hours.
If you are thinking of giving a gift bottle of wine, present your gift in an eco-friendly reusable cotton calico White Wine gift bag or Red Wine gift bag for £5.00
A small pot plant also makes a great teacher gift but the container from the nursery can look rather dreary. AuraDecor Designs have the ideal solution with our pot plant wrap (£7.50). A sturdy plastic cover with a pretty lace-edged design, simply wraps around the pot to make the plant so much more attractive to display.
And for our final suggestion, who can resist the wonderful aromas of essential oils and herbs ? Our natural soy wax British handmade candle melts work especially well with the deep bowl of our heart candle burner (Burner plus a melt £10.00)
